Giving Methods

Gifts by cash, check and credit card allow Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy to address its needs immediately.

On-line giving is a simple and convenient way to show your support for the young men and women of Notre Dame. Click here to make your gift now.

Securities such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds are excellent ways to support the Notre Dame Annual Fund, endowments and capital projects, particularly if they have appreciated in value. The full market value of the stock is tax deductible, not just the original investment cost. In addition, you can avoid capital gains taxes on the appreciation of the stock.

Matching Gifts are often an option to employees or retirees of a company or corporation. Matching gifts are a great way to maximize the impact of your individual contribution. Enter the name of a company or foundation to find out if your gift can be matched, click here.

Reunion Gifts – If your class is celebrating a reunion this year, consider a gift to Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy, combined with other members of your class, to help make a difference for future generations of alumni.

Bequests may be made through your will and may include a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.

Endowment Gifts help secure the future of the school while providing for important programs such as scholarships, financial aid and faculty enhancement.

Life Insurance – You can name Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy as the beneficiary to either all or a portion of an insurance policy.

Real Estate – Gifts of appreciated real estate are similar to gifts of stock. If you have owned the property for 12 months or more, you avoid capital gains taxes and may deduct the fair market value of the property.

Charitable Lead Trusts are funded with an asset, such as appreciated property or securities, and the earnings are contributed to Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy for the life of the trust. When the trust reaches it termination date, the principal goes to your beneficiaries.

Charitable Remainder Trusts are similar to Charitable Lead Trusts as they are funded with an asset. The earnings are paid as income to you and your beneficiaries. Upon the death of the last beneficiary, the principal goes to Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy.

Business and Other In-Kind Gifts such as services, inventory, equipment, materials and cash can benefit Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy while providing a positive tax impact.
