Ski Teams Earn Spots in State Final

Both the Notre Dame Boys and Girls Varsity Ski teams qualified for the MHSAA State Finals meet after strong performances at the MHSAA Regional Championship.   The Boys placed second, finishing 8 points behind champion Cranbrook, while the Girls team took home the regional title by earning a score of 53 points. Notre Dame names new boys golf coach

The athletic department of Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy announced today that Tom Gillis has been named head coach of the boys golf team. A native of Lake Orion, Mich., Gillis has been competing professionally since 1990 after playing at the collegiate level with Oakland Community College. Gillis was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and graduated from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan. Bowlers Set Records in Win Over Clarkston

The Notre Dame Girls Varsity Bowling team defeated Clarkston 27-3 in a dual at Classic Lanes on Monday.  In the win the Irish shot the highest team series in school history (862) along with the highest team pin totals in school history (1677). Freshman Theresa Carrier won both of her games, shooting a high series of the season at 371 (211 and 160). Swimmers Enjoy Record-Setting Oakland County Meet

The Notre Dame Boys Swim and Dive team enjoyed a strong showing at the Oakland County Championship meet over the weekend. Diver Alex Impellizerri started the two-day meet off right on Friday night by breaking  his own school record for 11 dives with a score of 343.60, which was good for 5th overall in the county. With the red-hot Davison Cardinals boys basketball team coming into Notre Dame’s gym on Wednesday to play the Fighting Irish, NDP students on the school’s new sports broadcasting team decided it was as good of time as any to put the game on air. Irish Earn Big Home Win Over Davison

The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Davison 84-79 in a back-and-forth, extremely physical game Wednesday.  The aggressive Cardinals offense had the Irish in foul trouble throughout the game as they played the entire 4th quarter with Eli McLean, Josh Johnson and Dominic Famularo having 4 fouls each.
