The Notre Dame Track & Field team brought home some more hardware, this time from Marauder Invitational where the Boys team took 2nd overall. Winning individual events for the boys were senior Eric Leduc in discus (126’1”), junior Nathan Mylenek in the 1600m run (4:33.9), and sophomore Brendan Fraser in the 3200m run (10:07.1). Leduc was also fourth in the shot put (38’4.5”). Other individuals scoring points and earning medals for the Irish were freshman Thomas Below in the 100m dash (3rd, 11.8) and 200m dash (5th, 24.7), senior Louis Pierite in the 100m dash (6th, 12.2), junior Brendan O’Sullivan in the 200m dash (6th, 24.8), junior Luke Mullis in the 400m dash (3rd, 53.2), senior Jermaine Johnson in the 400m dash (5th, 54.6), junior Aidan Schurig in the 800m run (2nd, 2:07.2), senior Joshua Fullerton in the 800m run (5th, 2:12.2), junior Alexander Leonowicz in the 1600m run (7th, 4:59.8), junior Drew Guest in the 3200m run (7th, 10:44.2), senior Logan Verheyen in the 300m hurdles (6th, 45.0) and 8th in the high jump (5’5”), senior Cameron Rubino in the 300m hurdles (7th, 49.1), John Paul Terzano in the discus (4th, 117’8”), junior Matthew Durkin in the high jump (5’7”), and junior Patrick Anger in the long jump (4th, 18’10”). In relays, the 4x800m relay team of Schurig, senior Ryan Obear, Fullerton, and Mylenek placed first in a blazing 8:24.1, beating the second place finishers by nearly 30 seconds.
