The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Atwood Stadium this past Friday for a game with Flint Powers.
The Chargers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Irish battled back and ultimately took the lead 9-8 in the fourth quarter. Late in the game, Flint Powers was able to tie the score and send the game into overtime. Unfortunately, even after a number of key saves by Irish goalie Jackson Bandy, Powers was able to score to earn the overtime victory.
Will Caton, Lorenzo Minaudo and Spencer Wittebort each had two goals in the game while Joe Mervenne, Nick Pollock and Matt Knill each contributed a goal. Defensively, Jacob Muhktar, Braeden Fromwiller, Parker Redburn, and Logan Hand played well in support of the Irish comeback. Jackson Bandy had a season high nine saves in goal for Notre Dame.
