The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Troy this past Saturday for a contest against a strong Troy High School team. Even as the underdogs, the Irish took a 4-2 lead into the fourth quarter. However, Troy battled hard to tie the score and eventually earned the victory 5-4 on a goal late in the game.
Spencer Wittebort led the Irish scorers with two goals. Will Caton and Lorenzo Minaudo each added one goal to round out the Irish scoring and Nick Schulte contributed with a number of key face off wins. Matt Knill, Logan Hand and Braeden Fromwiller caused a number of key defensive turnovers that resulted in Irish goals. Jakob Muhktar grabbed four groundballs in the effort and Jackson Bandy had six saves in goal for the Irish.
