Irish Rebound for Win Over Western

The Notre Dame Varsity Baseball team rebounded from its first loss of the season to pick up a 5-2 comeback win over Detroit Western.

The Cowboys struck first for two early runs but Notre Dame scored twice in the fourth and three times in the fifth to earn the win.  River Shea picked up the victory on the mound, going six innings, striking out four and allowing four hits. Jacob Genord came on in the seventh and picked up the save.  

At the plate, Tommy Cavanaugh, Joe Joppich, Michael Porter, Wade Bonnici and Shead each had an RBI.
