Notre Dame never trailed as the Irish defeated Lamphere in straight sets, 25-10, 25-13, 25-12 to improve to 44-9-5 on the year and advance to the MHSAA district semifinal match. Notre Dame will take on Cranbrook, who defeated Clawson in their first round match. The Irish took an early lead in the opening set but a tough defense kept the Rams in the game, forcing a Notre Dame timeout at 9-7. The Irish came out of the timeout with a sense of urgency and went on to outscore their opponents 16-3 to close out the set. The Irish continued to win the serve and pass game in the ensuing sets to take home the victory as all 15 players saw action in the match. Cassie Harris and Marisa Ciszewski led the Irish at the serving line with 13 points and 5 aces each while Ciszewski added 23 assists. Miss Volleyball finalist, Emma Kowalkowski, added 15 more digs to her state leading totals. At the net Gabby Shilling hit .455 with 12 kills while Maddy Chinn hit .615 with 18 kills.
