The Notre Dame Boys Track and Field team continued on its roll by beating Shrine, 90-35, and Riverview Gabriel Richard, 90-34, in a home tri-meet. The team is now 3-0 on the season in CHSL meets. The Irish finished 1-2-3 in five different events; the 100m and 200m dashes, the 1600m and 3200m runs, and discus. In the 100 meter dash, freshman Thomas Below (11.66) led the way followed by junior Patrick Anger (11.68) and junior Chris Wardlow (11.97). Below (24.4) was also first in the 200m dash, junior Luke Mullis (24.5) was second, and junior Brendan O’Sullivan (24.71) was third. Junior Nathan Mylenek (2:00.08) won the 800m run and senior Joshua Fullerton (2:14.9) placed second. Mylenek (4:47) also led the sweep in the 1600m, while sophomore Brendan Fraser (5:01) and junior Drew Guest (5:11) placed second and third, respectively. Guest (11:02) led all finishers in the 3200m run with second going to junior Alexander Leonowicz (11:06), and third to freshman Nicholas Fraser (11:09). In the discus, senior Eric Leduc (130’) took first place, sophomore Jean Paul Terzano (115’7”) was second and senior Tyler Jones (81’11”) third. Leduc (41’3.5”) also won the shot put while junior Matthew Winiarski (33’7.5”) was second. Junior Patrick Anger (18’3.25”) topped all long jumpers and Wardlow (16’11’) was third. Junior Aidan Schurig (55:18) finished third in the 400m dash, junior Logan Verheyen (46.98) was second in the 300m hurdles, and junior Matthew Durkin (5’4”) was first in the high jump. Lastly, the relay team consisting of junior Ryan Obear, senior Killian Kosik, Fullerton, and Schurig won the 4x800m relay with a time of 8:52.
