The Notre Dame Boys Varisty Lacrosse team battled a tough Rochester Adams team on the road but could not come away with a victory as the Highlanders prevailed 10-7.
Nick Dueweke led the Irish offensive attack with two goals and two assists. Will Caton and Spencer Wittebort also added two goals each and Lorenzo Minaudo had one goal. Max Stowe contributed with two impressive passes for assists.
Matt Knill and Jacob Muhktar continued their aggressive defensive play, causing numerous Highlander turnovers and each securing four ground balls. On the season they now have 47 and 48 ground balls respectively.
Austin Grief added to the Irish effort with seven faceoff wins while Logan Hand, Tyler Rowe, Parker Redburn and Braeden Fromwiller also contributed defensively. Jackson Bandy made a season-high 13 saves in net for the Irish.
