Notre Dame Places 2nd at Clawson Tournament

Over the weekend the Notre Dame Wrestling team traveled to the Clawson team tournament and took home a 2nd place finish out of a 10-man field. The Irish dropped their final match to Dearborn Heights Annapolis (54-24) after earning wins over Clawson (42-36), Bishop Foley (57-18), Sterling Heights (43-30), and Birmingham Groves (51-28) to start the day. Brendan Fraser, Josh Stanczak, Joey Agro, and David Pohlman all went 4-1 for Notre Dame while Tim Gale, Joe Tuski, and  John Paul Terzano each picked up 2 wins. Notre Dame has now won 10 of its last 12 matches and sits at 14-13 overall on the season. This marks the first time since the 2004 season, when Notre Dame won a district championship, that the Irish have been above .500 this late in the season.
