Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball swept a home quad meet to move to 13-5 on the season.
In the opening match the Irish never trailed as they defeated Rochester High School 25-11, 25-10. Maddy Chinn led the offense with seven kills while Theresa Carrier added four kills. Josie Bloom had nine serving points and three aces. Aly Borellis had 11 points, 11 assists and five digs while Maria Famularo had eight points, two aces, four kills and five assists.
Notre Dame took on Oxford in the second match of the evening. The Wildcats took the lead early, scoring the first six points of the match and extended that lead to 18-10 before the Irish rallied backed to tie it at 20. Notre Dame then took a 23-21 lead but Oxford fought back to reach set point before Bianca Giglio tied it again at 24. Notre Dame took three of the next four points to seal the come from behind win 27-25. The loss seemed to take the wind out of the Wildcats as the Irish took set two 25-17 after leading by as many as 10 points. Famularo scored 11 points and had three aces along with 10 assists and five digs. Emily Mohr had four points and two aces while Giglio added five kills. Olivia Kowalkowski had 20 digs in the match.
In the final match Notre Dame matched up with Holly. Holly turned the tables on the Irish by coming from behind to take a 25-21 win in the first set. The Irish responded by taking the next two sets 25-16, 25-14. Chinn had a game-high 11 kills and nine digs. Aly Borellis had six points, an ace, eight kills, 11 assists and seven digs. Famularo had 11 points three aces, eight kills, 10 assists and six digs. Giglio served seven points including and ace, had four kills and 14 digs. Kowalkowski chipped in 10 digs while Bloom had 15 and Mohr added 15 points, four aces and three blocks.
