Notre Dame Takes Williamston Invite

Notre Dame Varsity Volleyball won their seventh tournament in eight tries and improved to 57-2-2, going undefeated at the Williamston tournament to extended their unbeaten streak to 46 straight matches.

The Irish swept Sacred Heart Academy, Dansville, and Fowlerville in pool play to come out as the #1 seed. In the quarterfinal final round Notre Dame defeated Onsted and then picked up a win over Marshall in the semifinal. The Irish closed the day with a win over St. Johns in the championship.

Senior libero Olivia Heming led the tournament from the serving line with 47 points (15 aces) to go along with 17 digs. Natalie Risi had 37 points, 13 aces, 29 kills and 29 digs, Maddy Chinn had 23 points, 11 aces and 34 kills and Morgan Verheyen finished with 18 points and 29 kills. Lauren Burnick finished the day with 85 assists, Gabi Shilling added 30 kills and 7 blocks and Taylor Raiola had 12 points, 6 aces and 18 kills.
