Notre Dame fell to Marysville in four sets at Imlay City in the MHSAA semi-final round. The Vikings took the opening set 25-14, gaining an early lead off of five Irish unforced errors and never looking back. Notre Dame trailed by as many as 7 points early in the second set but battled back to take a 24-23 lead. However, three more Irish errors game Marysville the set 26-24. The third set saw the Irish settle down and earn a 25-19 win behind a balanced attack. Notre Dame would then take an early lead in the fourth set before the Vikings would come back behind the hitting of Payton Husson to take the set 25-22 and advance to the regional final. Maddie Chinn led the Irish attack with 24 kills while Gabby Shilling and Natalie Risi each added 10 kills. Risi also had 10 service points and led the team on defense with 23 digs. Western Kentucky-bound senior Emma Kowalkowski closed out a stellar career with 17 digs. Notre Dame finishes the season at 46-10-5.
