Congratulations to seniors Paige Aiello and Weston Lawson who have been chosen as school winners for the Wendy's High School Heisman award.

Senior boys golfer Matt Sheperd recently received an award for First Team All State-Division 2 at the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association banquet.

Alumnus Brett Mollon '06 has been nominated for the Soccer News Net College Player of the Year by Philly Soccer News. He is a goalkeeper for Temple and had a 0.90 goals against average while posting nine shutouts this past season. Click here to vote

The volleyball team was stopped short in their quest for a second straight MHSAA Class-B Championship on Wednesday, November 18. The Fightling Irish dropped a (25-15, 25-16, 25-17) three set quarterfinal match to 8th ranked Ida at Livonia Ladywood.

The volleyball team won their second straight regional title and fifth in school history by defeating Marysville on Thursday, November 13 in three close games (27-25, 26-24, 25-23). Last year they broke Marysville's streak of 19 straight regional titles by beating them on their home court and Marysville was looking for some revenge this year at NDP.

The volleyball team won their second consecutive district title on Friday November 7, defeating Warren Regina in three games.

The NDP boys and girls cross country teams both placed 2nd at the regional meet and qualified to compete as a team at the state finals at Michigan International Speedway. It was the first time in school history that a boys team has qualified and the second time in school history that a girls team has qualified. Brad Lorant (5th place), Chris Burns (6th place), Logan Lawson (13th place), and Matt Kurowski (15th place) were medalists for the boys team and Sara Barron (7th place), Alex Lallier (12th) and Rachel Hanson (15th) were medalists for the girls team. At the state finals, the boys team placed 22nd and the girls team placed 21st.

MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award applications are due in the athletic office on November 24th. If you are a senior who has earned a varsity letter and have a 3.5 GPA, click here for more information about the application process.
