Liturgies

Campus Ministry focuses on developing and nurturing individual faith formation by engendering an environment of genuine prayer and worship in community liturgies. The seasons of the Catholic Church’s liturgical year are incorporated into all school liturgical planning to provide a variety of opportunities for students and staff alike to experience a deepening relationship and union with God. The importance of coordinated planning, individual participation and Christian unity among all members of the NDPMA school community is highly promoted in all liturgical services and events.

All are invited to attend daily Mass at 7:00 a.m. in the NDP Chapel. The school also celebrates Feast Days and other special occasions throughout the year by coming together for all-school Masses, reconciliation services and other occasional prayer services.  During the seasons of Advent and Lent, there are special reconciliation services provided to all the students in Marist Academy Middle School, grades 6 through 8, as well as, to all NDP students, grades 9 through 12.  The religion teacher from each class brings the students to the school chapel where they are able to experience the sacrament of reconciliation in its fullest expression.  Frequently, this is the students' only exposure to the sacrament.

Once a month, we offer a special Marist Spirituality Marist for students, parents, faculty, and staff. Any Catholic student is invited to participate as an Altar Server. The 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are especially welcomed to serve at the monthly All-School Masses.

The High School students regularly serve as Lectors and readers of the Prayers of the Faithful, while others who have volunteered and received training as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist serve at these Eucharistic Celebrations. We invite and encourage active participation in all of the Marist School Liturgical events. There is a Liturgy Comission composed of students from various years of the school that help to plan the monthly liturgies.
