Financial Aid:

Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy wants very much to help families in their pursuit of a faith-based, college-preparatory education. Therefore, the school offers a variety grants and scholarships available for families. While we are happy to partner in helping families afford our school, we do expect each family to stretch their financial resources to meet a fair portion of the cost of tuition.

Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy financial aid resources are limited and, as a result, not all students who are admitted will be eligible to receive financial aid. Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy is fortunate to have many outstanding applicants. As there are not enough funds available to cover every accepted applicant's need, we first fund the students we believe understand the mission of our school and show the ability to be successful in the rigors of a college-preparatory curriculum. Therefore, students receiving financial aid must:

  1. reach a minimum GPA of 2.75 for the previous school year.
  2. complete and document the required community service for NDPMA.
  3. contribute to the school community by participating in school sanctioned extracurricular activities.
  4. maintain an acceptable discipline and attendance record at NDPMA.

Application Process:

  1. Acceptance to Notre Dame Preparatory or Marist Academy
  2. Registration: families interested in aid must register before applying for aid. Families interested in aid may, however, register for a reduced rate if approved by the Admissions Office.
  3. Submission of the NDPMA Financial Aid Form and the Student Aid Form from the Private School Aid Service (PSAS). The initial deadline for financial aid is March 15. While applications are accepted after March 15, financial aid funds are more limited after this initial deadline.
  4. Monthly payments: families applying for aid are expected to make monthly payments until financial aid decisions are complete in June.
  5. Refunds: if, after families are informed of the decision regarding financial aid, the family determines the award to be insufficient all previous payments may be refunded.

Awards:

In most cases, financial aid awards are posted to students accounts on September 1. Because of the limited natural of NDP/MA’s financial aid budget, the typical financial aid awards range from $1,000-$5,000. While larger amounts (as much as half tuition) are awarded, these are reserved for students with more significant need and great academic promise.

Notre Dame Alumni Scholarships:

Fighting Irish and Titan Legacy Awards: The children of Notre Dame Preparatory, Notre Dame High School ( Harper Woods), Oakland Catholic, and Pontiac Catholic alumni are eligible for a discount in tuition at Notre Dame Preparatory and Notre Dame Marist Academy – Middle Division. NDP Alumni awards cannot be combined with other merit, academic or financial aid awards.
