LITERACY
  • Recognize each letter of the alphabet and each sound
  • Concepts of Print: beginning, middle, end of a story, title, author, illustrator and text
  • Phonemic Awareness: Rhyming, blending, sequencing, and word families
  • Begin to show interest in books and environmental print
  • Establish left, right, top to bottom directionality
  • Distinguish between beginning, middle, and ending sounds of a word
