Department Vision Statement
The Information and Academic Technology department strives to facilitate the integration of effective, existing and emerging technologies, that incorporate technology into the school ecosystem that best align with the strategic plans of Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy.
The new Science, Art, and Technology wing received modernized audio and video equipment. This includes short-throw projectors and ceiling speakers in every room. Each room is also equipped with a wireless connection to the projection system to allow teachers to freely roam the classroom with their device. In addition, the robotics lab has a 65 inch interactive flat panel on a cart to move as needed in their workspace. Read more here.
The Information and Academic Technology department now has a Technology Services desk to best serve students technical needs. The Technology Service desk will serve to provide support for our 1 to 1 device program and all technology services provided by NDPMA. The desk will ultimately be led by current students to provide on the job experience and training.
Nearly 1,000 Microsoft Surface Pro devices have been deployed the last two summers to students at NDPMA. With that, almost every student now has a 4th or 5th generation Surface Pro Tablet. These devices offer best in class inking as well as performance needed to explore, design, and create.
Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy has been selected by Microsoft as a 2018-19 Microsoft Showcase School in recognition of its successes in integrating educational technology in the classroom to the benefit of both students and teachers. NDPMA has renewed the Adobe Creative Suite License Agreement. Which offers every current student access to their amazing suite of software applications on their Surface Pro device. This brings added value to our 1:1 Device Program for our students.
- The Lower Division of Notre Dame’s Marist Academy has been recognized by Apple as an Distinguished School in recognition for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrating a clear vision of exemplary learning environments. Microsoft Office 2016
With our Microsoft Office License Agreement, each student gets five licenses of Microsoft Office. One is used on their device, which leaves four to be installed on other devices. Families will need to log in using their student's login information. The license is associated to their school email address account. Use this link to get started. Once at the site, you will land on a set of instructions. You can change it to PC or Mac “step-by-step” for detailed guidance.
