Thank you for your interest in Notre Dame Lower School. Our admission staff at Notre Dame exists to guide students and families through the important decision of selecting the right elementary school. We are available to answer your questions, introduce you to our fine programs, and detail the benefits of a Notre Dame education. We look forward to showing you how, with God, our faculty and staff form young boys and girls into Christian Persons, Upright Citizens, and Academic Scholars.

Notre Dame Lower School is a Catholic, co-educational day school for students in Junior Kindergarten (age 3 & 4) through Grade 5. We are an authorized International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and the world outside.

The educators at Notre Dame Lower School prepare students for the next step in their educational ladder: Notre Dame Middle School. Fifth grade students who demonstrate overall academic fitness and good citizenship will earn promotion to our 6th grade, where they will have the opportunity to continue with the IB curriculum. Lower School graduates are well-equipped to succeed in the Middle School, later at Notre Dame Preparatory School, and eventually at fine colleges and universities throughout the world.

We invite you to learn more about our school by exploring the links on the right side of this page. There you will find plentiful information and answers to common questions about our Lower, Middle and Preparatory schools.

If you are interested in having your son or daughter gain a first-hand experience of what it is like to be a Notre Dame student, we encourage you to let your child be “Irish for a Day.” Information on spending a day as a guest on our campus can be found under the “Visiting Notre Dame” link on the right side of this page.

Your interest in Notre Dame illustrates the value you place not only on your child’s education, but also on his or her development as a whole person who is significant in the world. If you truly are in search of a transformative educational experience for your child, NDMA may be the place for you.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Offer, Dean of Admissions
Kala Parker, Associate Dean of Admissions and Dean of Diversity
Corey Porterfield, Associate Dean of Admissions
Katie Webber, Admissions Assistant
