Notre Dame Marist Academy-Middle Division is a Catholic, co-educational day school for students in grades 6 through 8. We are an authorized International Baccalaureate World School offering the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The MYP helps students develop both subject-specific and interdisciplinary understanding. The curriculum framework helps students learn how to learn while fostering critical and creative thinking. MYP students also focus on effective communication—including second language acquisition—and intercultural and global awareness.
The educators at Notre Dame Marist Academy prepare students for the next step in their educational ladder: high school. NDMA 8th grade students who demonstrate overall academic fitness and good citizenship will earn promotion to Notre Dame Preparatory School, where they will have the opportunity to continue with the IB curriculum and have access to more than a dozen Advanced Placement courses. NDMA graduates are well-equipped to succeed in those challenging courses, thereby preparing in earnest for the academic rigor of higher education. In addition to boasting one of the premier academic programs in the state, NDP provides first-rate programs in the arts, athletics and leadership that further enhance skills developed in earlier grades.
