FOURTH GRADE

Religion

  • Learn fundamental Catholic teachings, doctrine and prayers: parts of the Mass, Church calendar/seasons, Apostle’s Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory to the Father, Act of Contrition
  • Become familiar with the tradition, prayers, and mysteries of the Rosary
  • Learn the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching
  • Give examples of people who lived these principles and apply principles to student’s life
  • Realize that they are called to live a virtuous life
  • Learn that the Theological Virtues are foundations for moral living
  • Learn how to use their conscience to make correct moral decisions
  • Learn the following moral guides: the Two Great Commandments, the Beatitudes, the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, and the authority of the Church
  • Learn the major divisions of the Bible and where to locate the books of the Bible
  • Relate some of the stories of the Bible
