Pre-Algebra 6
This course is designed to give each student all the skills needed to excel in basic, traditional, and advanced algebra. The program reinforces the mastery of basic mathematical skills such as formulae, fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, proportions, areas and volume. These skills are applied to algebraic expressions, integers, one and two step equations, exponents and inequalities.

Algebra 7
This course continues to build a foundation of algebraic knowledge essential to the study of first and second year high school algebra. The course is designed to provide an understanding and mastery of the basic algebraic concepts and skills for Algebra 8. These skills include order of operations, algebraic expressions, integers, negative and positive exponents, equations, graphing, factoring, and radicals.

Advanced Algebra 7
This course is an enriched Algebra 7 course. It covers the algebraic concepts including: order of operations, algebraic expressions, integers, positive and negative exponents, linear equations, inequalities, polynomials, factoring, graphing linear equations and inequalities, equations with two variables, square roots, radicals, and the quadratic equation. More complex problem solving skills are utilized throughout the course. (PREREQUISITE: PRE-ALGEBRA, MARIST PLACEMENT EXAM, AND TEACHER RECOMMENDATION.)

Algebra 8
This course provides each student with an understanding of basic and detailed algebraic concepts. The program emphasizes mastery of skills basic to these areas of study: order of operations, number line, integers, real numbers, equations, polynomials, factoring, algebraic fractions, ratio and proportions, percents, slope, systems of equations, inequalities, rational and irrational numbers, and statistics.

Advanced Algebra 8
This one-year class encompasses the traditional first year of honors algebra taken by the Notre Dame Prep freshman class. Topics essential to the study of high school and college mathematics at the honors level include: one and two variable equations, polynomials, factoring, algebraic fractions, work and mixture problems, negative exponents, graphing, functions, variation, linear systems, wind and current problems, inequalities, operations with radicals, quadratic functions, probability, statistics, plane geometry, and trigonometric ratios and their application. (PREREQUISITE: SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ALGEBRA 7, MA PLACEMENT EXAM, AND TEACHER RECOMMENDATION.)
