PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical Education 6 Fitness development exercises, movement exploration, and physical fitness are emphasized in a variety of lessons. Fitness testing, following Presidential Physical Fitness Test standards, is conducted to assess students. Fundamental movement skills, lead-up games for various sports, relays, and basic health related issues are covered. Soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, and softball are incorporated into the class. Basic principles of warm-up and stretching are introduced and reinforced throughout the semester along with lessons in cooperative learning.

More advanced games of soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, softball, and others are taught. Basic principles of warm-up and stretching continue to be reinforced along with lessons in cooperative learning. |
