SCIENCE
Science 6 Students explore content and activities that are organized around the big ideas of science. Hands-on activities and inquiry-based lessons reinforce science process skills. Areas of study include Earth's Surface, Matter and Energy, Waves, Sound and Light, Ecology, and Space Science.
Science 7 This course emphasizes the unifying of principles from each of the three broad categories of science: life science, earth science, and physical science. Areas of study include Earth's Atmosphere, Human Biology, Diversity of Living Things, Electricity & Magnetism, and Motion & Forces.
Science 8 To promote a smooth transition from middle to upper school science courses, eighth grade science concentrates on the points of view from which various scientists approach similar topics. Areas of study include The Changing Earth, Chemical Interactions, Life Over Time, Earth's Waters, and Cells & Heredity. |
