Vision - What we are going to be? 

  • The catalyst and driving organization to continually improve the NDP/MA Athletic Programs

Mission - What we are going to do?

  • Make NDP/MA the premier private K-12 Scholastic Athletic Program in the State of Michigan.

Values & Operating Guidelines - What guides our decisions and actions?

  • Ensure NDP/MA Teams, student athletes, parents and coaches are ambassadors to our community who display in thought, word and deed the Christian principles and teachings on which this institution was founded. To represent NDP/MA in all athletic events with good sportsmanship and live up to the motto "Play Like a Champion - Today"
  • Membership will be determined by appointment by the athletic administration (AD & Ass't AD's), the President, and the Division Principals. Membership will be renewable on an annual basis.

 
Goals - What we need to achieve?

  •  A comprehensive, diverse, cohesive support organization which enables the athletic programs to develop young student athletes and successful coaches.
  •  Develop a forum to address inequity's (perceived or real) anywhere they may occur within the NDP/MA community and provide quick resolution.
  • Constantly self-assess and benchmark other programs and continuously improve the NDP/MA athletic program.
  •  Promote NDP/MA as an institution dedicated to the development of the student athlete.


Objectives - What we will we accomplish?

  • Make NDP/MA the first "Exemplary Athletic Program" (awarded by the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association) in the CHSL and the first private school in the State of Michigan.
  • Ensure every team, student athlete and Coach has the opportunity to develop to their potential athletically and receives the recognition they have earned.
  • Promote NDP/MA Athletics and Athletes within the school, community, state and nation. 

 Methods - How will we accomplish it? 

  • We have developed a subcommittee structure to focus on specific areas of interest.

Subcommittee to facilitate communication within the NDP/MA Athletics program between Divisions, Teams, Parents, Athletes, and Administration. Review current athletic department policies and procedures, identify athletic department needs, and implement corrective actions as required. Assess the readiness of NDP/MA to prepare the Exemplary Athletic Program application.

Subcommittee to plan, implement, and monitor the displaying of banners and plaques throughout the gym and the entrance to the gym for:
a. NDP Championship teams in each sport (Varsity sports only) CHSL, County and State
b. Individual records
c. All-State and All-American athletes, State Coach of the Year
d. Academic All-State and Academic All-American Teams and athletes
e. Alumni: College/Professional Athletes and Coaches      

Public Relations and Recruiting: Chariman - Kevin McMahon, kevin.p.mcmahon@gm.com                  

Subcommittee to facilitate communication and promote NDP/MA Teams, athletes and coaches with local, state and national media and there respective athletic organizations. Develop information and training for NDP coaches, athletes and parents of the NCAA rules and regulations concerning college recruiting and collegiate athletic opportunities.

Subcommittee to provide resources to enhance our Coaches education (MHSAA CAP) and Leadership training for student athletes.

Ways and Means: Chairman - Peter Saad, peter.saad@wennermedia.com

Subcommittee to facilitate fundraising activities to fund the activities of the NDMAAC.
