NDP went 1-2 in the Grosse Pointe South tournament on April 28, 2007. The Irish fell to Portage Northern (8-0), and Grosse Pointe South (6-4) before defeating Romeo (9-8).

Orchard Lake St. Mary's swept Pontiac Notre Dame, 16-9 and 4-3, Sunday. In Game 1, Ryan Decker batted 3-for-4 with a double and a homer for seven RBIs for St. Mary's. In Game 2, Decker's RBI double in the top of the seventh was the winner for St. Mary's (8-2). (Freep, April 16, 2007)

Romeo 4, Notre Dame Prep 3: In game one on Thursday, April 12, starting pitcher Brett Shankin tossed a complete game two-hitter and Ploetz drove in the game winner with a single in the seventh.
Adam Rashid started the seventh with a bunt single. Garrett Henige was trying to move the runner over with a sacrifice bunt but wound up with an infield single when no one from Prep could field the ball. Jeremy Ravezzani singled home a run to tie the game at 3-3 and Ploetz singled up the middle for the winning run.
Shankin allowed three earned runs on two hits, walked four and struck out 10.
"Brett had some control issues early on, but was very dominating after he settled in," Romeo Coach T.J. DeLamielleure said.
Delmotte led the Romeo offense with three hits in three at bats including a double and scored a run. Ravezzani went 2-for-4 with a run scored; Austin Langley was 1-for-2 including a squeeze bunt RBI in the fifth and Armstrong and Tines had one hit each.
"We had a rough start to this one, but we did a very nice job of chipping away and staying in the ball game," said DeLamielleure. (Romeo Observer, April 18, 2007)
