SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award - open to all seniors who win a varsity letter prior to their senior year and have a minimum of 3.5 GPA (on 4.0 scale).  Applications due each year in the athletic office on a specified date in November.  $1,000 award plus recognition at the MHSAA Boys Basketball Finals.  (Application materials available on web site)

Detroit Pistons Student Athlete of the Month - open to seniors who plan on furthering their education upon graduation.  One male and one female chosen January, February, March and April 2007.  $1,000 award plus recognition at a Pistons game. (Application form available on web site)

Wendy's High School Heisman - open to seniors who have at least a "B" average and participate in an MHSAA sponsored sport who exhibit excellence in the classroom, on the field and within their communities. Deadline is October 1, 2007.(Application materials available on web site)

DAC High School Athlete of the Year - open to seniors who demonstrate excellence in athletics, scholastics, and citizenship.  Due at the end of January.  (Application materials available on web site)
