State Finals Seedings

At the MHSAA Finals on Saturday, the 3200 Meter Relay (Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad) improved upon their school record with a 9:55 performance!

Good luck to Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad, Emily Wade and Kelly Kanan at the state finals this Saturday.

All-Catholic Honors - Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad, Emily Wade, Kelly Kanan, Alex Wade, Dorota Marchel, Bethany Michelcavage. 

Oakland County Meet @ South Lyon - The 1600 Meter Relay (Emily Wade, Sasha Kosik, Kelly Kanan, Bethany Michelcavage) placed 4th in the county on Friday with a new school record time of 4:09.79. 

CHSL AB Championship @ Ladywood - The NDP Girls Track team took 5th place at the league championship meet on Monday.  Top performances include the 4 x 200 Meter Relay (Dorota Marchel, Kelly Kanan, Emily Wade, Bethany Michelcavage) and 4 x 400 Meter Relay (Emily Wade, Sasha Kosik, Kelly Kanan, Bethany Michelcavage) both taking second place and Erica Saad taking 3rd place in the 800 Meter Run.  All four relays qualified for the Operation Friendship meet on Tuesday. Regionals @ Algonac - The girls came in fourth place at the regional meet on Friday with 56 points.  Qualifiers for the state meet include the 3200 Meter Relay, 1600 Meter Relay, Emily Wade in the 200 Meter Dash, and Erica Saad and Liz Barron in the 800 Meter Run.  The 3200 Meter Relay (Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad) took second place with a new school record time of 10:01.87.  The 1600 Meter Relay (Emily Wade, Sasha Kosik, Kelly Kanan, Erica Saad) also took second place with a time of 4:18.37.  Emily Wade came in second in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 27.65.  Erica Saad came in first in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:29.26 and Liz Barron was right behind her in second place with a time of 2:29.69. Fr. Gabriel Richard 68, NDP 60 - In a close meet that came down to the last race and decided the CHSL division championship, the NDP girls were narrowly defeated by Fr. Gabriel Richard.  However, it was a good day for the Irish in terms of school records.  Lexi Kosik improved upon her Discus record once again this season with a throw of 97'7".  Alana O'Reilly reclaimed the record in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 18.14 seconds.  The 3200 Meter Relay (Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad) improved upon their record with a time of 10:04.42 and the 1600 Meter Relay (Emily Wade, Alana O'Reilly, Kelly Kanan, Erica Saad) set a new record of 4:15.80.  (May 14, 2007)   Click here for results

Oxford Invitational - The girls finished in fifth place on Saturday at the 45th annual Oxford Invitational.  Erica Saad came in first in the 800 Meter Run, and the 3200 Meter Relay (Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad) took first place. The 400 Meter Relay (Dorota Marchel, Kelly Kanan, Kristina Eurick, Emily Wade) came in second place.  The 800 Meter Relay (Marchel, Kanan, Alex Wade, Emily Wade) and the 1600 Meter Relay (E. Athens Relays - The girls came in 3rd place at the 30th annual Troy Athens Relays on Saturday with a score of 49 points which was just 5 points behind the champions, Berkley. First place finishes included the Shot Put Relay (Lexi Kosik, Sarah Huston, Celeste Bott), 3200 Relay (Liz Barron, Sasha Kosik, Jaclyn Wilson, Erica Saad) and Athens Medley Relay (Liz Barron, Bethany Michelcavage, Emily Wade, Erica Saad).  The 3200 Relay set a school new record with a time of 10:07.1. NDP 83, Bishop Foley 38 - The girls track team remains undefeated in the league (3-0) after a win at Bishop Foley on Thursday.  First place finishers for the Irish were all four relays, Sarah Huston in the Shot Put, Lexi Kosik in the Discus, Alana O'Reilly in the 100 Meter and 300 Meter Hurdles, Liz Bartoli in the 400 Meter Dash, Christina Guest in the 800 Meter Run and Alex Wade in the 200 Meter Dash. Lexi Kosik once again broke her own school record in the Discus with a throw of 94'4" and Sarah Huston broke her own school record in the Shot Put with a throw of 31'3" (May 3, 2007) Click here for results

Carlson Invite - Only four points separated the top three teams at the Carlson Marauder Invite on Friday.  The NDP Lady Irish track team took third place with 112 points behind first place performances by Bethany Michelcavage in the High Jump and Erica Saad in the 800 Meter Run.  The 3200 Meter Relay, 800 Meter Relay, and 1600 Meter Relay also came in first.  Second place finishes included Bethany Michelcave in the 400 Meter Dash, Liz Barron in the 800 Meter Run, and Sasha Kosik in the 300 Meter Hurdles. NDP 76, Royal Oak Shrine 50 - The girls are 2-0 in the league after a win at home vs. Shrine on Wednesday.  School records were broken in the 100 Hurdles (Shakara Ellison 18.43) and Discus (Lexe Kosik 91'11"). (April 25, 2007) Click here for results   Click here for pictures

Berkley Invite - On Saturday, April 21st the NDP Girls Track team competed in the Berkley Invitational.  They placed 7th out of 19 teams with a score of 23 points.  Both the 4 x 100 Meter Relay and 4 x 200 Meter Relay placed 3rd.  Sasha Kosik placed 4th in the 300 Meter Hurdles, setting a new school record of 50.03.  Liz Barron placed 4th in the 800 Meter Run.  The Distance Medley relay placed 2nd out of 5 teams.  Click here for results

Ladywood Invite - On Tuesday, April 3rd the NDP Girls Track team competed in the Ladywood Invitational.  There was no team scoring at this event, but the girls turned in some impressive early season individual performances.  Alana O'Reilly took 2nd place in the 300 Meter Hurdles, breaking her own school record with a 52.85.  Lexi Kosik broke her own school record in the Discus with a throw of 86'3".  Bethany Michelcavage placed 3rd in the high jump, Erica Saad placed 3rd in the 800 Meter Run, and the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 Meter Relays both took 2nd place.
