In the first matches of the newly-formed Independent Bowling League, the Notre Dame Girls Varsity Bowling team defeated Livonia Clarenceville 16.5-13.5 while the Boys team fell 26-4.

In the first matches of the newly-formed Independent Bowling League, the Notre Dame Girls Varsity Bowling team defeated Livonia Clarenceville 16.5-13.5 while the Boys team fell 26-4.

The Girls started out slow, losing the baker match and headed into individuals with a 10 point deficit. After the first round, Therese Allard, Katy Heaman and Cass Thorman won their games and the team won the first series.  The second game saw wins for Allard, Ella Spendler (team-high series) and Mia Mojares and the Irish won the second series to come back and take the match.

The Boys team showed promise, with newcomers Max Thornton and Beck Silver appearing for the first time as Notre Dame bowlers. Thornton shot a high game of 181 and took one game from his opponent while Zack Hogan shot a 182 for is first match, beating his opponent. John Jernigan pulled off two wins for the Irish while captain Anthony Ghaith shots a high game of 192.
