Doing Your Best Work

What school activities are you involved in?

I am involved in several activities, including tennis, bowling, band, and robotics.

What does the school mission mean to you?

To me, the school mission is about being a kind person to everyone, expanding my knowledge of my faith, and learning how to be an active participant in my community. It also means working hard in everything that I do, especially in athletics and academics.

How do you strive to live as a Christian, citizen and scholar in school and in your everyday life?

I've been in a Catholic school my whole life, and I've been continually furthering my faith. However, I know that I still have a long way to go. I am grateful that Notre Dame Prep has allowed me to improve my faith and to create a better relationship with God. I am also working on becoming more active in my community through service. I enjoy helping the less fortunate. Also, I've always held myself to a high standard when it comes to academics. As a result, I try to do my best work in every assignment.

What is one example of how Marist values influenced/encouraged you to approach a problem or challenge differently? How do you think those values/skills will help you in the future?

In the short time that I've been here, Notre Dame Prep has helped me grow in many ways. I've made many new friends and I've learned so much about myself and the world around me.

What is one of the best things about being a Notre Dame student?

In my opinion, the best thing about being a Notre Dame student is that the school teaches me many skills, but it doesn't stifle you. This school allows me to be myself.

What is your favorite school event, and why?

Of all the school activities that I participate in, my favorite is robotics. I want to go into engineering, and I have learned many skills that are important in this field. Also, robotics is like a big family. Therefore, I've made great friends and have had an overall great experience.
