Apply to Notre Dame

Notre Dame welcomes transfer applicants, who are expected to have strong academic backgrounds and excellent attendance and discipline records. (Grade 12 transfers will be considered only for students who are relocating from a great distance or are experiencing extenuating circumstances.) 1. Create a parent/guardian MyNotreDame account if you do not already have one.
2. Submit online application for admission through MyNotreDame.
3. Request student evaluations from current/most recent English, math and foreign language teachers through MyNotreDame checklist.
4. Request copies of records from current/most recent school. (Download form in MyNotreDame checklist.)
5. Interview.
   Note: As part of the admission process, applicants may be asked to take additional reading, writing, and/or math assessments.

4. Request copies of records from current/most recent school. (Download form in MyNotreDame checklist.)
5. Interview and take reading and math assessments on a scheduled Visit Day. (Parent interview only for PreK applicants. Parent-student interview for applicants to grades K through 5.)
   *Items 2 and 3 will be waived for applicants entering grades PreK and K who have not attended preschool.

Notre Dame encourages all applicants to complete the admission process by December 16. Doing so will ensure an admission decision on January 27. Applications will be accepted after the initial deadline. Once enrollment begins on January 27, Notre Dame will continue accepting applications and enrolling new students as space permits.

Students applying for admission to 9^th grade who also wish to apply for a merit scholarship must have all requirements met by December 16. (Priority consideration will be given to applicants who meet this deadline, but students may apply for a scholarship after this date.)

Per the Archdiocese of Detroit, Notre Dame will announce decisions to applicants who have completed the admission process on January 27. After this date we will announce decisions within one to two school days following the student-parent interview. Students who have been admitted to Notre Dame for the 2023-24 school year may enroll promptly after receiving their notification of acceptance. Students admitted after this date will be able to enroll as space permits. Our 12-month tuition calendar begins with the February payment.
