Religion

The Religion Department bears witness to the mystery of Jesus Christ in the minds and hearts of our students. With the dual focus of education and faith formation, courses offer a safe place for students to inquire and grow on their own journey and relationship with God, in the image of Mary our Mother. The curriculum advances Notre Dame’s mission of developing Christian people, upright citizens and academic scholars.

"The well of confidence and competence in the faith that Notre Dame Prep helped build up in me was one of the pillars I leaned on in a time when many people encouraged me to walk away from it." - Nick Pilchak NDP’00

Did You Know?
  • All Notre Dame students have Religion class every day.
  • Semester-long courses at Notre Dame Prep explore topics such as the Bible, sacraments, morality, and world religions.
  • Year-long courses at the middle school are Following Christ, Life of Grace, and History of the Catholic Church.
  • Our youngest students are taught the faith through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. We strive to expand that hands-on religious formation methodology up through 6th grade.
