Would you like to get more involved in the school? The Notre Dame Parents Club currently has several open board positions and one key volunteer event position that it is looking to fill for the 2021-2022 school year. If you are passionate about Notre Dame and would like to help the school continue to grow and prosper, please view these open positions and apply today. Parents Club Treasurer

  • Responsible for writing all checks and depositing all monies for the Parents Club.  
  • Balances the checking account every month and provides the Business Office with a reconciliation summary and detail of the checking account.  
  • Provides monthly treasurer and budget reports.  
  • Prepares an annual budget.  
  • Closes the books every year and provides year-end balancing reports.
  • Supports the creation of the Michigan Charitable Gaming Annual Super Raffle Financial Statement (required for our license). 
  • Keep Super Raffle P/L Statement.
  • Accounting and/or financial management skills highly desired.
  • Attends monthly Parents Club meetings (first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.)
  • The candidate will shadow the current treasurer for the 2021-2022 school year and then take over responsibilities in 2022-2023.  
  • Must be willing to serve in the position for a minimum of two school years.
  • This position fulfills Parents Club yearly volunteering requirements.

Parents Club Officer – Vice President for Middle School

  • Communicates with the middle school principal and staff and works with them on their specific Parents Club events to ensure successful execution.
  • Communicates with the coordinators of the events to confirm dates, times, and event details.
  • Collects event summary forms and written documentation of the events and saves them to the shared drive to ensure no loss of continuity annually.
  • Attends monthly Parents Club meetings (first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.)
  • There will be a shadow opportunity for the 2021-2022 school year before taking over full responsibilities in 2022-2023.  
  • Must be willing to serve in the position for a minimum of two school years.
  • This position fulfills Parents Club yearly volunteering requirements.

Parents Club Officer – Vice President for Preparatory School

  • Communicates with the Notre Dame Prep principal and staff and works with them on their specific Parents Club events to ensure successful execution.
  • Communicates with the coordinators of the events to confirm dates, times, and event details.
  • Collects event summary forms and written documentation of the events and saves them to the shared drive to ensure no loss of continuity annually.
  • Training will be provided - Must be willing to serve in the position for a minimum of two school years.
  • Attends monthly Parents Club meetings (first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.)
  • This position fulfills Parents Club yearly volunteering requirements.

Volunteer Event Position: Advertisement Coordinator 

  • Job is suited to someone with an advertising / fundraising background.
  • Committee is to start work in July so that the accounts can be confirmed by late August (start of the school year).
  • Historical donor list will be provided – the volunteers are encouraged to add to the donor list at any time based on their networks.
  • Coordinator is to contact the volunteers (normally around 10 people) and set up a quick meeting to explain how the process works.
  • Divide up the donor list between the volunteers.  
  • Each volunteer is responsible for contacting the donors they have been given and asking them to recommit their past donations.
  • Each volunteer should look to secure one to two new donors based on their network.
  • The candidate will shadow the current advertisement coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year and then take over responsibilities in 2022-2023.  Must be willing to serve in the position for a minimum of two school years.
  • This position fulfills Parents Club yearly volunteering requirements.
