NOTRE DAME PREP ANNOUNCES ITS 2020 VALEDICTORY COURT

Later this summer, if all goes according to plan, 133 young men and women will walk across a stage at Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy and celebrate receiving their diplomas after four years at Michigan's top Catholic high school.
Among those who will attend will be the 11 seniors shown below who earned a place in Notre Dame Prep's 2020 valedictorian class.
At Notre Dame, traditional courses are weighted on a 4.000 basis, honors courses on a 4.500 basis, and Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses on a 5.0 basis. A student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 4.350 to be considered a valedictorian.

Amanda Krick resides in Shelby Twp. with her parents, David and Eileen. Amanda has been named one of Notre Dame Prep’s valedictorians. During her high school career Amanda was a Peer Leader, Optimist Club treasurer, a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the Catholic Scholastic team. Amanda is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate and played soccer all four years. She plans to attend the University of Michigan. Amanda will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.484.
Anna Nachazel resides in Bloomfield Hills with her parents, John and Melissa. Anna has been named one of Notre Dame Prep’s valedictorians. During her high school career, she was a member of the National Honor Society, F.I.R.S.T. Robotics and the Pre-Med Club. She is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. Amanda plans to attend the University of Michigan. She will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.477.
Evan Wells resides in Rochester Hills with his parents, Eric and Margaret. Evan has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During his high school career, Evan was president of Student Council, a Peer Leader coordinator, a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, the Cross-Country Team and was a Student Ambassador. He is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. Evan plans to attend University of Notre Dame. He will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.477.
Michael Robbins resides in Brighton with his parents, John and Jacqueline. Michael has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During his high school career, he was a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club, NDP Choir and played lacrosse. He is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. Michael plans to attend University of Notre Dame. He will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.474.
Sophie Mehta resides in Clarkston with her parents, Rahul and Melissa. She has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During her high school career, she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, Actions for Africa and was on the tennis team. Sophie is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate and plans to attend the University of Michigan. She will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.469.
Andrew Vella resides in Clarkston with his parents, Thomas and Cynthia. Andrew has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During his high school career, he was a member of The National Honor Society. Andrew played football and lacrosse. He is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate and plans to attend the University of Michigan. Andrew will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.463.
Allison Healy resides in Rochester Hills with her parents, John and Sarah. Allison has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During her high school career, she was a member of The National Honor Society, Peer Leader Ministry, Student Ambassador, and NDP Quiz Bowl team. She has earned several awards, including AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Commended Scholar and Silver Medal on the National Spanish Exam. She was captain of the varsity swim team. Allison plans to attend the University of Notre Dame. She will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.460.
Justina Gaynor resides in Shelby Township with her parents, Paul and Rita. Justina has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During her high school career, she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, Varsity Club E-Board, Student Ambassador and NDP Choir. Justina also played both varsity soccer and basketball. She is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. Justina plans to attend Butler University and will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.432.
Vaughn Carraher resides in Waterford with his parents, Patrick and Janice Carraher. Vaughn has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During his high school career, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Notre Dame Prep band. He played soccer, football and hockey and is an AP Scholar. Vaughn plans to attend Purdue University. He will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.403.
Kiley Urquhart resides in Highland with her parents, Scott and Elizabeth. Kiley has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During her school career she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Chinese National Honor Society, Peer Leader Ministry, Student Ambassador, Marching and Symphonic bands and founder and president of the Pre-Med Club. Kiley played on the tennis, golf and bowling teams and she is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. She plans to attend Case Western Reserve University. Kiley will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.389.
Jonathan Karr, Jr. resides in Rochester Hills with his parents, Jon and Cecilia. Jonathan has been named one of Notre Dame Prep's valedictorians. During his high school career, he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, Peer Leader Ministry, Student Council Treasurer, Computer and Coding Club, Model United Nations, Varsity Club, cross-country team and F.I.R.S.T. Robotics. Jonathan also is an International Baccalaureate Programme candidate. He plans to attend the University of Notre Dame. He will graduate from Notre Dame Prep with a grade point average of 4.365.
