A long-held tradition for Notre Dame Prep seniors and their parents is back, albeit a little different than years prior. The senior fashion show will take place in a virtual format at 7 p.m. on April 18. The 24th annual Fashion Show, a fundraiser organized by the Notre Dame Parent Club, is aptly themed “Roaring 2021.”

The Fashion Show has become an annual tradition where families and guests come together with the Notre Dame community to share in food, fashion and fellowship. Originally conceived as a social event for mothers and graduating seniors, over the years the show was expanded to include both mothers and fathers, as well as the entire Notre Dame community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s show was cancelled, so this year’s organizers are hoping for a large showing of support. Proceeds will benefit financial aid, which supports mission-driven families who are seeking a Catholic education for their son or daughter.

When the pandemic forced the closure of businesses across the state, many current families were impacted by loss of income seemingly overnight.

“Need for financial assistance has grown over the years,” said Director of Enrollment Management Kathleen Offer, who oversees the aid program at Notre Dame. “For the 2020-21 school year, families who requested support grew by 31 percent from the previous year. Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, we expect to see another increase this year.

“Gifts to the financial aid fund are critically important to help families realize a Notre Dame education for their children. When people truly need our help—because of a job loss, medical hardship, or any other circumstance—we want to be there for them,” she added.

Individuals can purchase tickets to the Fashion Show online. Two ticket options are available: a gourmet dinner package for a family of four to six, or a gourmet dessert option for a family four to six. At the time of purchase, attendees have the option to select home delivery or pickup at the school on April 18.

The $100 dinner package also includes access to view the online show, promotional discounts, a commemorative program, and commemorative copy of the video. The $45 dessert package includes access to view the online show, commemorative program, and commemorative copy of the video.

In addition to the show itself, attendees can participate in the popular wine pull. When you purchase a Fashion Show ticket you can also purchase a bottle of wine that will be delivered with dinner prior to the live show. A live auction that will be open to the community is also planned. This year the show will include performances from the Notre Dame Prep jazz band, theater department, choir, and an art presentation featuring International Baccalaureate art students’ work.
