The theatre program at NDPMA produces six full productions a year throughout the three schools, as well as drama classes in the middle and preparatory schools. Theatre brings students together and stretches them to unimaginable possibilities. Students are encouraged to follow their passion for the stage whether it be working behind the scenes or performing in front of a crowd.
Watch a Virtual Performance by the Notre Dame Drama Club
Ten high school students took part in #livingroomtheatre, a partnership between Concord Theatricals and Playbill. Their goal was to keep theatre alive by rehearsing at home during the coronavirus stay-at-home order by the state of Michigan. Since the students could not see each other in person, they rehearsed via Zoom calls. Just as they do during a normal day, the students were required to attend rehearsals and work with their director, Meredith Scott. The final performance was recorded on Zoom, and each student provided their own costume and props.
