You may contribute with your donor-advised fund (DAF). Please recommend a grant to: Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy, 1300 Giddings Road, Pontiac, MI 48340. Our Federal Tax I.D. is 47-1174704.
You can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity without having to pay income tax. This is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
Your gift will be put to use right away to support students and teachers.
Beginning in the year you turn 72, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD).
You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
Since the gift doesn’t count as income, it can also reduce your annual income level.
Checks should be sent directly from your IRA administrator, made payable to Notre Dame Preparatory School, to Notre Dame Preparatory School, 1389 Giddings Road, Pontiac, MI 48340. Please include the donor’s name in the correspondence.
Many companies match the charitable contributions of their employees. To have your gift matched, request a matching gift form from your human resources department, complete what’s necessary, and send it to us with your gift. We’ll take it from there.
